The annual dinner will be held at the Harbour Watch Restaurant, at Pier One, Hickson Road, The Rocks.
Cost of the dinner will be $50 per person, including food and drinks. Prices for students will be reduced by $10 through a donation from Hands On Genetics. Interstate members who are surprised at the price are assured that the committee have endeavoured to reduce the cost of the dinner as much as possible in the climate as Sydney moves towards the Great Olympic Ripoff.
In order to reduce the price as much as possible, we have agreed to have a single menu for the dinner, based on fish which is the speciality of the restaurant. The only alternative is a vegetarian meal. We are required to give the number of vegetarian meals in advance, so members are asked to nominate this on the form when paying for the dinner.
The restaurant can be reached by many buses which go past the University (see Sydney info). Some buses go to The Rocks, but an attractive way of reaching the restaurant (if the weather is OK) is via a 15-20 minute walk from Circular Quay around the harbour under the bridge. Free or reasonably inexpensive parking is usually available in the vicinity.
