Posters

The meeting will have a heavy emphasis on contributed posters. All coffee and refreshments at the meeting will be in association with posters and trade displays.

POSTERS WILL BE ON VIEW FOR THE THREE DAYS OF THE MEETING. The first morning tea, 11.00 - 11.40 on Thursday 9th, will be a shorter session during which posters can be mounted. The following six one-hour sessions, over the three days, will then be set aside for poster viewing, during which EACH PRESENTER HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TWO HOURS to be present at the poster. For the timings of presentation, please see the listing of posters, which follows the listing of GSA talks in The program

1. Thursday July 9: 4 - 5pm
2. Thursday July 9: 5 - 6pm
3. Friday July 10: 10.40 - 11.40 am
4. Friday July 10: 4 - 5pm
5. Friday July 10: 5 - 6pm
6. Saturday July 11: 10.40 - 11.40 am

Posters currently selected for viewing will be flagged to indicate this.

Poster presenters should note that many people do not find it easy to take in the information in posters, especially after they have already been exposed to a number of talks and posters. It is therefore important that the presenter be in attendance at the poster to answer questions, or, better still, prepared to give a mini-seminar based on the poster.

Student prizes at the meeting will be awarded based on both the content of the poster and on the oral presentation.
Poster boards will be around 1.2m wide by 0.95 m high. Some overhang of the poster should be possible. Either velchro or pins can be used. The majority of poster boards will be mounted on benches in the laboratory, although some will be free-standing.
